 When scheduling the picnic we have to plan ahead and check the weather. This Friday the 15th the weather says sunny and warm. That will be perfect weather to have our picnic. If we host the picnic on the 15th then on the 29th we go to Downtown Royal Oak.  The picnic is special because students who have graduated get to join us. I am looking forward to eating Hot Dogs and playing on the swing.

 Madison Heights is hosting a luau party for adult transition programs.  The name of their program is METRO.  Will be going to the middle school.  A luau is a type of dance.  It is a tradition from Hawaii.  We will get to dance to music and play games. A popular symbol for a luau is a palm tree. I plan on dressing for the theme by wearing island colors.  There will be a prize for the best dressed student for each program.  I am looking forward to meeting new people. 

On the weekdays during the evenings I need to keep myself busy.  Sitting at home on the couch watching TV and playing on my phone is not the only option.  Having a hobby means you take part in an activity you're interested in. I can look at local calendars to find out about upcoming events and make plans to attend them.  This can give me new opportunities to take part with friends and family.  A new hobby I would like to try is bike riding.

 Planning for my future after TRAILS makes me feel nervous. Part of being an adult means I have to make important decisions. I want to have a say and share my opinions with others. I will be graduating from Trails when I turn 24/26 years old. I have 3 years left in the program. I plan on living with my family in the future. I do not want to attend another school similar to TRAILS when I graduate. A field trip I want to go on before my last year is the ZOO.  I want to hangout with purple group for my last year.

 I like being kind to others.  When others are kind to me it makes me feel excited. Three ways I can be kind to others is helping others, sharing with others, and giving compliments.  

 Michigan is a wonderful state to live in because we have all four seasons here.  Right now we are experiencing a fake spring. because it has been warmer.  By the end of the week it will be cooler.  With warmer weather comes a risk for severe weather like thunderstorms and even tornadoes.  It is important to have a plan at home in case of severe weather.  If you have a basement that is a safe space gto go to.   The first day of Spring is March 20th and I am looking forward to going to the Innovation Park when it is warmer out.
